SSD President Isabel Jubes-Flamerich with Honorable Bridged Watson and Honorable Teresa Castellanos
At the beginning of May, representatives from all over the state met at Sacramento to study the state budget, new policies on education, and new curricula. Under the umbrella of CSBA, elected officials, chosen by other elected official to represent their regions across the state, join forces to support the future of public education in the state.
We, as part of Delegate Assembly, represented region 20, and learned everything in order to make the right decisions to protect our students resources and their right for a quality education. Topics discussed included funding for Proposition 98, special education funds, special programs, title I schools, one-time funds post pandemic programs, Transitional Kindergarten, state founded Pre-school programs, among many others.
