I get asked all the time about everything from school funding to policy quirks, and I’ve realized that a lot of people either don’t know where to look or don’t know who to ask. Whether you’re new to California or a lifelong resident, the system can feel like a maze—and sometimes, what you think you know might just be a myth!

That’s why I created this video log (or vlog, for those in the know =). Think of it as your go-to guide for “everything you always wanted to know about public education in California but never thought to ask.” It will be fun, informative, and, hopefully, the kind of resource you’ll want to share with friends and family. Why does representation matter?

This Video was made in the Spring of 2024 when our local Democratic Club wanted a speech about “Why Representation Matters. ” However, as I was in Sacramento that weekend, serving as a Delegate Assembly for CSBA, I couldn’t attend the presentation. So, I recorded a Video for them, that evening from the hotel.
